Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office, for which she received an Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Comedy.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but was raised mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in the church when she was younger that instilled a passion of performing and theater.
Fischer is an actress with theatre training. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy. In the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's absurdist comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast hosted by Earwolf in the month of October. The show has been hugely successful, reaching the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads during the first two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life The Actor's Life is her debut book that chronicles the road she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood, where she became an actress professionally. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her most beloved friend and her experience in The Office.
